Dr. Yaron Brook on CNBC 4PM PDT 8/17

Via an ARI update:

Dr. Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute, is scheduled to appear on CNBC’s “On the Money” tomorrow, August 17, at 7:00 pm Eastern (4:00 pm Pacific), to participate in a special hour-long program on passenger profiling.

I try to capture these things on my DVR, even though they frequently are frustrating to watch.  I do appreciate the work that Brook and the ARI do.

LinuxWorld 2006

I will be wandering around at LinuxWorld in San Francisco tomorrow.  I’ll be shamelessly wearing a Clear Ink T-Shirt.

New Clear Ink Web Site

Clear Ink, the company for which I am Chief Techologist, recently (and finally!) implemented a redesign. For anyone who wondered why I wasn’t mentioned before–I am now!

Clear Ink has been very successful in the past couple of years. The digital marketing industry has heated way up and we’re up to our ears in business. We’ve been doing some really amazing work with screencasts and novel Web applications. I’ve got a such a great, talented group of technologists reporting to me. I feel very fortunate to have found them, especially as I haven’t been able to find acceptable candidates to interview for the current open position. (If you’re a Windows/Linux desktop admin looking to learn how to program, contact me).

Henry is now 7lbs 8oz

Henry is 7 Pounds 8 ounces

Our little guy is now 7 pounds and 8 ounces!  It’s really incredible.  He’s gained two pounds in less than three weeks.  You can see in this picture that he’s starting to get a little chubby from all the momma milk.  It’s great!

Insanely Hot!

Current conditions in Martinez are as follows.

Fair 107°F Humidity: 20% Wind Speed: 8 MPH Barometer: 29.81 in. Visibility: 10 mi

I can’t remember it ever being this hot so many days in a row  (although, Vicky reminded me of a day maybe 8 years ago when it was 115 outside and north of 90 in the house). It never got below 70 all last night. Our air conditioner can’t keep up, but at least it’s keeping the inside below 80.
