OK, I had to respond because today out of curiosity I was wondering who is left in the world that is any good at Linden Scripting Language, given the cool things we used to do in it so long ago. So I did a Google blog search for “best LSL programmers” and the top result, no shit, was this page. (I wasn’t even logged in to Google!)

Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of the French examples. My arrangement with Pearson allows them to sell the rights to translate the book into other languages, and I am not consulted.

Hi Mr. Atkinson,

I have the French version of your book Core PHP distributed by http://www.pearsoneducation.fr. In the book they suggest we can get the sources from their site but the reference to the book doesn’t exists anymore.

I hoped that by getting the English version of the listings would match those in the French version but unfortunately, they don’t.

Do you know how I could get the French version sources codes for this book? It’s title is PHP 3è édition and the ISBN is 2-7440-1634-9.

If you prescribe to this us-and-them nationalistic nonsense (does anyone not question why Iran is considered a ‘terrorist state’?) you deserve to face the consequences of your ignorance. There is good and there is evil; the powers and authorities do not recognise temporary national or political boundaries. To pretend that the USA is ‘good’ and Iran is ‘evil’ only serves the interests of those who benefit from you believing this nonsense. There are many ordinary Americans who have more in common with the average Iranian than they do with fellow Americans living in D.C. or NYC. If you do not believe me, get on a plane and visit the people of Tehran. Or is that out of the question for the average American?

For canvas apps, it was my experience that a self-signed cert worked. That was a couple of months ago, so YMMV. For iframe apps, you will have to get one signed by an authority.

Hey Leon, sharing your pain man! What I can’t seem to find documented any place is what certificate authorities facebook is willing to accept? In other words, can I just go and create a self-signed cert for myself using openssl, or do I have to buy one from verisign or the like. You got any ideas?
